Due to ms I can't lift Le Creuset - even when empty! - but wanted heavy duty pans without the weight. These are great. Even I can lift them! They are easy to clean even of burnt food (husband and daughter use them too) and lovely to use. The heat spreads evenly and retains well so that you can turn the heat right down under them once you've got something boiling. If there's a casserole pot, I shall set my sights on that, too.The skillet is enormous and I thought would be too big for a small family like mine, but a friend uses one all the time for herself and her partner, so I have used it for the first time last night for bolognese. I did find it a joy to use, so suspect it will be far more useful than I thought at first. They are a joy to cook with, the non-stick coating is amazing (though I can't comment on it's longevity just yet) so much so that frying an egg without oil is an easy job. The ridged surface of the base certainly seems to work as advertised allowing moisture to escape and meat seals and sears much faster.The build quality is great, the pans feel balanced, well weighted and are flawlessly manufactured. The handles are comfortable, well sized and securely attached. The lids are equally as well engineered and, as I discovered when I knocked one off the counter onto the hard floor, pretty darn robust. Here are some features/highlights that the product literature forgets to mention, but really should! - The heat distribution on the base of these pans is incredible, the 30cm sauté pan is ENORMOUS and dwarfs even my largest gas ring, but despite this when frying, the food at the edges of the pan is cooking just... Slightly odd selection that I suspect may have been put together just for black friday. Really large saute pan while other pans quite small. However, these were the sizes I wanted and the price was good compared with buying items individually. These pans are excellent for frying (I cook on gas) When buying circulon I would suggest looking at their website to check out the differences between each of their ranges. There bakeware is also great to cook with. In a perfect world these would be dishwasher safe.I paid �120. |
